Sports, play, nature, excitement … and culture!

The Riedz is your ideal starting point for cultural and sportive activities in and around Innsbruck. Only 9 minutes of walking and you are right in the old town in front of the Golden Roof. And the woods are within 8 minutes walking distance.

Things Worth Seeing

After a 9-minute walk from the Riedz, you’ll be right in front of the Golden Roof, the landmark of Innsbruck, and thus the starting point for numerous historical guided tours and sights as well as a Hop-On-Hop-Off tour.

You can also just stroll through the city and pick one of the lovely cafes or restaurants and let Innsbruck pass by in front of you. Regardless of the weather and the season, there is always something to do and see here (check out our map).

Culture

Many events related to art, culture and entertainment take place in Innsbruck. The Heart of Noise or the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music attract a wide variety of audiences in the summer. During winter, the Christmas markets and events on the mountain tops are particularly popular.

Anyone looking for an alternative concert stage is in good hands in the Treibhaus. Sooner or later, night owls are always drawn to the Bögen, where the Babalon, the Emma or the PMK await. But you can also dance into the morning at Dachsbau in the old town. You can get very good cocktails in the M&M bar and on the terrace of the Adler, the mountain panorama is very enjoyable, especially during sunset.

Summer

Hiking trails, bike trails, lakes and other beautiful destinations are easily reached from the Kabine, directly from the front door. Almost everywhere you will find huts where you can treat yourself to typical Tyrolean food. In Innsbruck you can also go climbing, mountain biking or downhill cycling. You can even explore beautiful tours and passes on a racing bike.

After all the hustle and bustle, it is very advisable to relax in the garden of the Riedz. Best in a deck chair underneath a tree or on your own balcony! On rainy days you can have fun with a table tennis or table soccer match in the basement.

Here are a few suggestions from us on how you could spend your summer day in Innsbruck.
