Sports, play, nature, excitement … and culture!

The Kabine is your starting point for cultural and sporting activities in and around Innsbruck, at any time of year. In just 9 minutes on foot you are right in the old town centre in front of the Golden Roof. You can reach the first forest path in 8 minutes. What do you want to do today?

Summer

Hiking trails, bike trails, lakes and other beautiful destinations are easily reached from the Kabine, directly from the front door. Almost everywhere you will find huts where you can treat yourself to typical Tyrolean food. In Innsbruck you can also go climbing, mountain biking or downhill cycling. You can even explore beautiful tours and passes on a racing bike.

After all the hustle and bustle, it is very advisable to relax in the garden of the Riedz. Best in a deck chair underneath a tree or on your own balcony! On rainy days you can have fun with a table tennis or table soccer match in the basement.

Here are a few suggestions from us on how you could spend your summer day in Innsbruck.

Winter

Innsbruck is located in the heart of the Alps and is one of the best destinations for winter sport enthusiasts. There are 13 ski areas to choose from in the region! All combinable with the Ski Plus City Pass. You can reach them with a free ski bus. From the mountain peaks of Innsbruck, Nordkette and Patscherkofel – within 20 minutes by bus or car – to the Axamer Lizum (30 minutes), the Schlick (30 minutes), the Kühtai (45 minutes), the Stubai Glacier (50 minutes) and many other beautiful skiing areas. Variety is taken care of!

Those who prefer to enjoy winter away from the slopes will find plenty of winter hiking trails, cross-country skiing trails, toboggan runs and ice rinks in the area. Afterwards, the saunas of the city offer sufficient relaxation.
